Fun Run, flash dance raises $60,000 in donations for Walnut Grove Elementary School

A surprise flash mob for Principal Jon Vranesh and a day of "Fun Runs" May 4 raised more than $60,000 in donations at Walnut Grove Elementary school in Pleasanton, it was reported Friday.

WOW... what a blast! AND what a lot of work the Walnut Grove parents did! (THANK YOU Janet Grell... among many others!) That was SO much fun! I heard the WG friends and community raised over $60,000!!! Could that be true? So grateful!!!

Congratulations to Jon, teachers, parents, and students who participated. After all of the flack you received on Pleasanton Weekly over budget cuts that the district wouldn't take responsibility on, you deserve this Jon!
