Nebraska man convicted of sexual abuse of 13-year-old

A former Nebraska man faces 25 years to life in prison after being convicted Tuesday for the ongoing sexual abuse of an underage Alameda County girl.

I don't understand why they ever let a sexual abuser out of prison. I've never heard of anyone being cured from this type of crime.
