Culture of Excess: Hot tubs, mind readers and clowns -- Wasting taxpayers' dollars
Around Town, posted by Spend spend spend, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Apr 16, 2012 at 7:53 pm

Reading about the lavish living of bureaucrats at the various GSA conferences...

Web Link ...

I'm wondering how much of our local officials waste dollars on fancy vacations (under the guise work related events), spas, conferences and taxpayer paid lunches and dinners?

For example, is it normal for local school district and city bureaucrats in local communities across the U.S. to have meet and greets with Robert Redford and attend Sundance festivals or is this another example of "Spending Gone Wild" in Pleasanton?

I have always held the Girl Scouts of America in the highest regard. Try as I may, I cannot imagine the organization doing anything illegal or unethical. I think it is a good idea that our young women, many future leaders, are given an opportunity to meet with Robert Redford. He's an absolute Dreamboat!!!
