Is Hosterman planning to give back her salary while she is at Stanford? She should return all her salary since she hasn't done anything positive as mayor

Our hippie mayor should get a makeover before she stands in front of students at Standford. She hasn't done anything as mayor, and it was only a flook that she got elected both times.

I didn't know Stanford was lowering its standards---what a joke--they can have her---Also i doubt very much they are paying her--I'm sure she is doing it for free just to make her resume look better--

I am not shocked at the negative comments I am reading because of the fact that Pleasanton is filled with right wing, tea party people. I happen to like the Mayor and for people to make personal attacks is uncalled for. Many things have been accomplished over time she has been the Mayor of Pleasanton. We should be fortunate to live in a country where we can express ourselves and stand up for what we believe without being ridiculed for our personal way of life.

I'm sure this is exaggerated and overblown. Knowing Stanford well, I doubt she has that title and likely she is violating Stanford rules on use of the Stanford name and affiliation (if any agiliation really exists). In any case, the continuing studies program is not mainstream campus, and does not count for credit. Hostrerman in Congress would be a disaster!

What a joke!!!! The Hippy Mayor, one of The Three Stooges teaching at Stanford??? She obviously isn't teaching anything about the law because I don't think she ever passed the bar despite multiple attempts, so she can't even practice law, much less teach law. Is her class going to be on left-wing loonism in local government? Or, how to run a local government into the ground?
Come on, folks -- Pleasanton has suffered enough from The Hippy Mayor and her fellow two stooges on the City Council. The last thing we need is to have this loon as our Congressperson.
Also, I sure hope someone responsible decides to run for Mayor, because we also don't need one of the other two Stooges (Cook-Kallio or Thorne) becoming Mayor after the third Stooge, The Hippy Mayor's, horrible tenure.

Gee, if everyone in Pleasanton dislikes the job Hosterman was doing, how come she was reelected?
What's more amusing about this article is Pete Stark saying this will be his last term in office. He has two opponents running this year. Maybe his last term is the one he's finishing up now.

It's a Continuing Studies Department class. It's like UC Extensions or Las Positas Community Education classes that anyone can take for enrichment rather than towards a degree. Geesh.

She is a fine example of a student. I think she has taken the California bar exam over 9 times and failed every time.
Hum, maybe she is teaching a class on how to how to get away with using public resources for campaigning for office (answer: make sure you are in the same party as the DA).
"Knowing Stanford well, I doubt she has that title and likely she is violating Stanford rules on use of the Stanford name and affiliation." Hosterman violating the rules? I am shocked, just shocked!

Roz,
I read the comments, because they are much more interesting than Ple weekly stories, before the article and my heart did a jump for joy when I read your commment. Going back to the article, it says Stark said it MAY be his last term. sigh.....

I think she's done a good job as mayor. To all those who are constantly critical of her...why don't you run for mayor?!?! Because unlike Mayor Hosterman...you'd lose.

In Mayor Hosterman's defense, the California Bar Exam is very, very difficult to pass. I can't remember the ingredients for a Singapore Sling...can you? *rimshot*
