Local gymnast has sensational season

Lacy Dagen, a 9-year-old gymnast from Pleasanton, just completed her level 7 season. She was one of only 25 9-year-olds in the country to qualify for Bella's Camp in Texas. Shortly after that she scored the highest all-around of 118 competitors ages 8 to 18 at the Judges Cup in San Jose.

Just to let everyone know - we have a GREAT gymnastics facility right in Pleasanton. WEST COAST OLYMPIC GYMNASTICS ACADEMY. They are training top level BOYS and doing VERY well I might add.
I will say the guy that took the NUMBER ONE ALL AROUND at the San Mateo meet is 16 is from DANVILLE. ALEX GANZ LEVEL 10.
This is another sport that keeps kids hard at work and off the streets and gets NO recognition.
These kids train about 25 hours a week - intense physically and emotionally.
