77 students from Dublin High School will be coming home from New York City tomorrow. They gave excellent performances at the Central Park bandshell on Monday afternoon and yesterday evening at Carnegie Hall. Along with the two "showcase" groups, the Guam Territorial Band - Official Band of Guam and the University of Wisconsin / Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, they were one of only six groups included in this invitation only New York International Music Festival. The other groups included one from Hawaii, one from Tennessee, one from Oregon and two from Southern California. Dublin High School's group was the only group from the Bay Area to be included in this prestigious music festival.
