Rick Santorum & Prop 8

Presidential candidate Rick Santorum was quoted as saying "Just because public opinion says something doesn't mean it's right" Okay, that says it, he's against Prop 8.

Oops, my mistake. He's for it. Maybe, as usual, he meant something else when he said "Just because public opinion says something doesn't mean it's right" I bet he was misquoted! Yeah, that explains it.

I call it self-serving. Geo. Bush did the same thing, you know, "states rights" until he needed to push his social agenda on everyone, but that's different. It's 1984-stuff

Santorum stated that states need to determine the educational needs of their citizens not the Federal government. Then how does he justify saying "We can't have 50 different marriage laws in this country," he said. "You have to have one marriage law."
