I agree. Does anyone know if "Another Gatetree Resident" moved from Gatetree Circle? I did see some homes were sold recently. There hasn't been any noise complaints and the AVHS Aloha Rally and dance were last Friday. Maybe we can get that field gate reopened?

FYI -- The dances are not the issue relative to what has been posted by "Another Gatetree Resident." Try reading AND comprehending.

As for the gate -- it will NOT be reopened. Research associated with the installation of the new sound system has surfaced additional details on just what actually did go down in regards to the walkway issue.

Apparently the neighbors most affected pursued getting signatures and going to city traffic and engineers meetings for permit parking. That solution was offensive to some neighbors because of the need for signs to reflect permitted parking only. The city traffic department, the city recreation dept and the school then met WITHOUT neighborhood representation and decided to close the gates to deter both parking and end of school day speeding.

Before that occurred, as well as afterwards, several meetings were held at the school with Bill Coupe, Darren Davis of the PPD, and George Hefner, Dir of Facilities Management. Upon closing the fence, parents of students and students did not want to walk on the muddy road, so the school built a walkway for rainy weather.

Sounds like "anonymous too" is really "Another Gateree Resident". Guess they didn't move.... oh well can't wait to hear their next whining about AVHS. It will give us something to read about...

Anonymous;

You are very wrong, but I do live in the area and am aware of what the neighborhood has had to deal with. Like it or not, Amador Valley High School does not live up to the Good Neighbor Policy.
