JOE KAPP IN SCRAP Sports, posted by Cal Alumn, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Nov 28, 2011 at 7:36 am
Many of you may recognize Joe Kapp, the ex-Cal Football coach and ex-NFL football player. But, you have got to see Joe in action. Joe got into a physcial altercation Friday night with former CFL rival Angelo Mosca, a defensive tackle with the Hamilton Tigers-Cats back in the day who used to hook horns with Kapp.
I worked for Joe Kapp. All I can say is that he is one of the biggest idiots, exploitative, self-centered, obnoxious people on earth. This fight is a perfect example of his character. He talks a big game, but he acts just like the short clip illustrates.

I am also an alumni of Cal, but I have to ask: What is your point in posting this information regarding Kapp? Why did you think it appropriate to share your dislike of your former boss in this forum?

"Why did you think it appropriate to share your dislike of your former boss in this forum?"
One: He wasn't my boss. I worked with him in a professional capacity.
Two: He's a public figure that indirectly represents Cal. I'm not a proponent of his character or his representation. For example: He thinks that his coaching was responsible for "The Play" (don't believe me go look at his website). That shows a deep sense of narcissism that (again) is not sign of a good role model.
Three: He's a local figure. It's of interest to local people. Pleasanton is in the sphere of influence of Cal. It's a noteworthy discussion, just as politics is done on this site all the time (and might I add in less exemplary fashion)
Four: Professional football reflects life. That means its reflects the values of life. Fighting on stage is a sign of poor judgment, poor values and not very sound character. If a person stands up and takes the credit, then they must also be able to take the jab (pun intended). Values are a key social issue. So this forum is an excellent venue for discussion.
Five: How can you even think about degrading my observation at all. Have you seen some of the topics on this site, the responses, the morose mentality, the bickering. Now, you may have told everyone that acts like a mental low-life the same thing "Why are you posting here?". Good. But, if you're focusing on my comments for some arcane reason ... well you're the one that shouldn't be posting.
Incidentally, I am very proud of being from Cal. It's a great school Joe just doesn't represent the values that Cal stands for. (incidentally, go ask anyone in the Cal Sports Department, and you'll find they agree).
