History of the TGI Fridays Location
Restaurants, posted by Tom, a resident of the Birdland neighborhood, on Jul 18, 2007 at 10:02 pm

Does anyone remember what restaurants have been in the building now occupied by TGI Fridays? Someone thought a Garcia's Mexican Restaurant was there around 1991, Bu I don't remember anything being there except TGI Fridays.

Yes indeed it opened as a Mexican restaurant. Our family ate there a few times. I don't remember if it's name was Garcia's, though.

There were 2 Mexican restaurants before Fridays came in, Garcia's was one, the other had a longer name and there was one in San Ramon for a while.

Would that have been Carlos O'Briens? That is what used to be in San Ramon, I think.
