Bachmann Campaign in Final Death Throes
Original post made by Cindy Cross on Oct 24, 2011
Michelle Bachmann's run for the 2012 GOP nomination is unraveling. Friday her campaign staffers in New Hampshire walked out and quit. Adding insult to injury, these same staffers have been open about their employer to the media, "The manner in which some in the national team conducted themselves towards Team-NH was rude, unprofessional, dishonest, and at times cruel. But more concerning was how abrasive, discourteous, and dismissive some within the national team were towards many New Hampshire citizens. These are our neighbors and our friends, and some within the national team treated them more as a nuisance than as potential supporters," they wrote.
Bachmann was clueless about their departure on Friday and decided that the reports were false, "We have called staff in New Hampshire to find out where that came from and the staff have said that isn't true, so I don't know if this is just a bad story that's being fed by a different candidate or campaign," said Bachmann.
Denying the facts and making false claims is nothing new to Michelle Bachmann. The first major false claim she made was during the GOP debate about the 'dangers' of the HPV vaccination, where she erroneously claimed that it caused mental retardation to the dismay of scores of medical professionals.
Bachmann also sent NRA enthusiasts up in arms after she insinuated that the United Nations (UN) was trying to take away our right to bear arms. "I don't believe in the U.N. taking that right away from us, as well. There are international treaties that want to do that." What she didn't understand, as she should, is that the UN is drafting an arms treaty that is aimed at curtailing illegal international gun sales. Many gun manufacturers may be nervous that this could hurt their business, but the U.N. has no dominion over the United States Constitution.
Bachmann has been proven wrong on many other of her claims. She is more of a distraction now when compared to the other more serious and worthy GOP candidates. She needs to leave the election now while she has a half decent reputation intact, or face the prospect of becoming a political caricature on Saturday Night Live.
