When our family lived in Pleasanton we loved dining downtown, often on the sidewalk, watching the people walk by. We returned recently for a visit and were stunned to see dogs everywhere, including inside the restaurants! My son is severely allergic to dog and cat dander and I do not enjoy the addition of dog hair to my food. A quick check with the health department confirmed that NO animals, other than licensed and certified assistance animals, are allowed to EVER be inside a restaurant. That includes your little pocket and purse dogs. Come on Pleasanton, enough with the obsession over dogs. If you want your house covered in fleas, pet hair and whatever the dog rolled in please keep it in your house and not where I am eating. Interestingly enough I could be cited and even arrested for smoking in public but you can contaminate my food with your dog's hair at will. No wonder the restaurants and merchants in downtown were complaining about lack of business.

Get over it and stop being a stick in the mud you weenie dog. You have millions and millions of dust mites hanging out on your eyelids, nose, ears, sheets and everybody else does to. Have you ever given them a bath?
