Where are the Colors at Callipe Preserve?
Around Town, posted by Ray, a resident of the Downtown neighborhood, on Jul 30, 2008 at 8:40 am

Explain to me why, at a city operated golf course, the is no display for the US and State Flags. Please, let's correct this.

My proposal would be to install a pole in the area between the 1st and 10th tee, add lighting, so the flags can be displayed continuously, which would not require the employees to raise and lower the Colors daily.

And...my 1st preference would be 3 poles...one for the US flag, State flag, and the Callippe flag...I know, they don't have one...yet. This golf course is the best test of golf in the entire East Bay. I hate the fairways; I hate the greens; I hate the rough...but I love the golf course.

Let us extend our pride to this jewel and fly the colors...

City owned - not city operated. But still a good idea.
