Jerry McNerney will disappear?!? State, National, International, posted by jimf01, a resident of another community, on Jun 10, 2011 at 12:06 pm jimf01 is a member (registered user) of PleasantonWeekly.com
A new story from another publication analyzes the official "first draft" of Congressional district maps released and declares that 'The 11th Congressional District currently held by Democratic Rep. Jerry McNerney will disappear'
Residents of Pleasanton will be glad to learn that residents east of the Altamont Pass, in Tracy and beyond would no longer have a voice in their congressional representation, and vice versa, as in almost every draft version, the natural boundary of the hills east of Livermore divide the redrawn districts.
Reading the headline, I thought David Copperfield was maybe coming out to do a 2012 fundraiser for McNerney, but looking at these maps, Rep McNerney appears to be all but gone for a Tracy resident.
