I voted Yes on E, and I was also one of the people surveyed. When they called me, they asked me if I would be more likely to vote yes if the amount was 98 per year, then went to different amounts.

I told them I did not care about the amount but about what was being done with the funds.

I voted yes on E and plan to continue to donate to CORE, etc, but I thought it was a waste of money to hire the "experts" to do the survey. I think my high schooler could have done a better job.

Those consultants do not know how to conduct a reliable survey. I was actually upset at the questions and the lady pretty much filled out the survey the way she wanted to. I told her I could not answer yes or no, so she picked the answer for me!

I voted No because I neither like or have any confidence in the PUSD Administration. Cut Administrators first and I might vote for another tax but not as long as the Administration Building is jammed packed with crappy administrators. I am tax to death. why not look for school districts who think outside the "Box" like PUSD used to do 20 years ago.

In these rough economic times any amount of loss is sad, but choosing to waste that much should be a crime.

As election drew near, I really resented call from the students....who have been fed crappy lies. There wouldn't BE shortages, if the union boss thugs were rational and intelligent enough to grasp economic reality....they're not ! Adults working in the real world do understand, but teachers have sold out to the unions and the union agenda....manipulating the naive students that it's a tax issue, but fail to explain the cause and effect. FIRST, these issues didn't exist before Gov Moonbeam UNIONIZED CA employees.

In my interactions with PUSD leadership, I have always been left with the feeling of arrogance. Even to the point that they point out what kind of "degree" (post graduate) they have! Give me a break!!! That would impress someone from some other part of the world, not the Bay area. It seems like "they know everything" and are unwilling to even listen to anything.

The senior exemption fiasco has shown that the leadership has always been interested in just getting the money, it was never for the children. You can just tell when someone is not genuine.

I agree with Steven, the arrogance of the leadership is suffocating. Go to public meetings and hear them call each other Doctor so and so. Oh pleeez. I'll say this though, if they were doctors in financial surgery, we'd have a truly winning team! Look at the cash they gave away to those phone poll wizards, and for what? I was going to say we have nothing to show for it, but that's not true -- we have the invoice! And when they are talking down to us parents like we're single cell organisms, have they any idea how many of us can outcount them on college degrees? And in hard science! So here's a 2011 lesson plan idea for the leadership: get some humility !!

Actually, you are correct.

Even worse is that they had high school students here, yes minors, man the "Support Pleasanton Schools" phone banks by forcing them to work on the parcel tax campaign in order to receive community service credit.

Of course the ethically challenged management team would see nothing fundamentally wrong with this approach.

Most of these administrators couldn't hack it in the "trenches" so they kissed Butt and got into Admin. Throw the whole bunch out. Things started to go to crap two School Superintendants ago. Instead of checking out the degrees (and the current one has none)how about looking at their results in Administrating a district. You want to know how to run a great District, ask those who do all the work----the workers, not those who cluster in their cubicles at ADMIN. Let's take back that $350,00 by cutting the Admin salaries. Gee, I so dislike them......
