Cholo Around Town, posted by Senorita, a resident of the Amador Estates neighborhood, on Jul 9, 2008 at 10:43 pm
I have read many PW threads and Cholo appears in each one, no matter the subject. I think Cholo is really a retired dot com engineer, made lots of money in the 90's, lives in a gated community and now has too much time on his hands to stir the pot. Any thoughts?

Cholo got what he wanted! I agree with Senorita...we'll see another post here from Cholo after he returns from Tully's in Pleasanton! Nice Livermore pych out, Cholo, but just like you, people can read between the lines! Now get back to that nice air conditioned mansion in Ruby!

There is no between the lines...no billions in my account...I can't even brag about having paid $250K over the asking price for my $41K home in a gated community! I just know that Senorita has pretty eyes! HOORAY!
Is it true that some folks in PTown only have one college degree and others none? My G_D, the sky is falling!
I only beg that you NOT think of Cholo as a Christian! Ugh...and as for porridge greene, go away, far far away, forever!

Ah, Cholo got her/he own topic! Though I have also been unclear on the comments made by Cholo, at times I have agreed, I must admit..Free speech, as long we can be sensitive on certain things to those loved ones that sometimes are mentioned here, I think that is the most important thing, how heartbreaking to be a mom, dad, whoever, and to read something negative about your loved one on here, let's just try and keep from doing that....We don't have to hurt people to share our thoughts, ideas and opinions!

Already many in this thread allow that Cholo may be female. Given the anonymity of these posts, one should extend the possibilities.
The original poster thinks he may be a dot com "ricco nuovo" who lives in Ruby Hills, rather than a legal (or illegal) immigrant from South/Central America living on a disability check. But he/she might also be slavic, an immigrant from Eastern Europe who enjoys jerking our chain! How about an anglo whose ancestors were early settlers of Massachusetts. Or, none of the above.
However, he does leave his fingerprints when he posts. Yes, in my opinion, he is a he. That's my assessment of the nature of his posts. Next, he has a higher level of "learning" than many others in these threads as indicated by the mostly correctness of his spelling and his grammar. (Yes, people, you are being judged by how well you write, spelling and grammar included - not just typos. Many of you flunk! Cholo passes.)
My other guesses are: is at least first generation with immigrant parents since he is empathetic to the universal plight of immigrants in this country. What's true today was true 100 years ago. Immigrants are looked down upon and not generally welcomed. Has "blue collar" roots. This gives him his perspective of Pleasantonians, who really are a snooty bunch.

Pleasantonians are a snooty bunch? You haven't been around much. Try Lafayette, or Greenwich, Connecticut. One of the things I like about Pleasanton is it's lack of a snob factor. It's all relative, but trust me, it gets a lot worse than this.

Hmmmmmmmmmm….dare I respond? OK…maybe a noisy spring here ‘n there but a loose screw…NOT!
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A beautiful land with a long history of genocide. Jacobo Timerman is my hero and one of the great journalists of our time.
Has it ever occurred to you that I could have been born in Buenos Aires and belong to Haplogroup R1B1, Atlantic Modal Type? Think about it, I may even have genetic matches in Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland and in the Euskal Herria and the Netherlands? Semitic…..perhaps! Family political refugees….yup! Love the defiance of “illegals”…YUP, YUP, YUP!
Attend university…yup! Graduate…yup! Wealthy…NOT.
Wish you were…yup!
Plutonians snooty? Lets just say that you have more than your fair share of importunate romantic oafs!
Languages: Spanish, French, English, Portuguese and modern Basque….yup! Parents spoke Yiddish…wouldn’t you like to know?

I think Frank may be right but Cholo likes to jerk people's chains. I just don't know how this guy has so much time on his hands!!! I take offense, Mr. Pitty Pat and your gang of snipers...WE ARE NOT SNOOTY...stomp, stomp!!! Where is Stacy when you need her?

Cholo, You are that that kid in grade school that sometimes you like and sometimes you just want to kick his butt! You are a little full of yourself like the rest of your early retirement engineering folk friends.

I think you folks have wrongly pegged Cholo as an engineer. In one of these threads he describes himself, the description of which I would call a "fuzzy". The "nerds" are the engineers. The "fuzzies" are the artists. Both are highly intelligent but come at life using different sides of the brain. There are no absolutes, so I can be wrong in my conclusion.
However, as evidence I submit the nature of his posts. Cholo is obnoxious in an intentional and clever manner (usually so, but maybe not always). A true nerd, in a social setting such as these posts of the PW, would be crudely obnoxious all of the time. Their posts would also likely include a lot of mispellings since language is usually not important to them. This is just the way their brains work. (this nerd, yours truly, is excluded --- not "discluded"-- from this description [oops, "discluded" is the subject of another post!]. I try to play out of both sides of the brain.)

Seniorita...are you trying to get a date? I'm puddy in your claws!
Yes, I am a painter and a good one at that! I attended the California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland, CA. Am I as loose as a goose? A few friends think that I'm "out there". Am I dissociated more than half the time? Wouldn't you like to know?
What I like best is to sit quietly and meditate. After long periods of sitting, the room becomes very bright and always the buzz, the blinking lights and kundaclini pops up...ready to play. I don't recall ever having mentioned this to you but Hatha Yoga is my play!
I still paint about 13 hours a day mostly but there are special days when my work is not so cool and I paint for longer periods...exhausting and my blessing. I love to paint! HOORAY!!!
All of the spirits guide my hands and shape my frame! Seniorita, it's a HOOT. As for early retirement, it is wonderful. I'm 66 now, but there is nothing more satisfying that younger folks like you have to keep working so that I have some extra change. Is that cool or what?

i don't know why anyone would enlarge the ego of a fool like cholo. an overopinionated moron. this guy has such twisted thoughts on most subjects. beliefs that he and all spanish speakers arte taking over california. that anyone that drinks is an alchoholic, thqt all are wrong, except spanish americans. like the tiger incident saying it's the zoo keepers fault that some punks taunted a tiger. this guy is a moron.
people like cholo are pathetic. why don't you spend your time making a difference to make things better than just parouse the pw to get your kicks.
