Actually, there is quite a bit more to this story than this article states. KTVU ran a short segment on this at 5pm. Apparently, DSH/ICE has closed Tri-Valley University and has searched several different local properties. I can't find the link to the KTVU story, but there are more details on the p-ton patch web site.

I wonder if this university was taking money to get international students into the country by circumventing the legal process? I looked at the web site for Tri-Valley University--it looks a bit if-fy to me!

How was this "university" raided by Homeland Security today allowed to obtain a lease on public land owned by the Pleasanton Unified School District at the District headquarters during the tenure of John Casey as superintendent.

They actually leased space at the District Office at 4645 Bernal Ave Building 700, Pleasanton CA 94566 according to this weblink---Web Link from Sept 2009 to June 2010.

By the way, for the updated article - it is "ICE" not "I.C.E.".

Why would anyone think this is a legitimate university? From their website, this is their mission"

A legitimate university would have a good writer on board!

Interesting taht I.C.E. would be involved. I'm wondering if now that many 'massage parlors' are being closed down , if the human trafficing business is moving to Chinese fronts posing as 'universities'.

The scary thing is that the president/founder of this "university" has a phD from Berkeley and has lectured at San Jose State. See her resume:

No doubt that all of this woman's paperwork is fraudulent: the university documentation, her UC credentials and the mortgage on the Ruby Hills estate.

Amazing, how the rest of us play by the rules and do not ever think of breaking so many laws. It makes you wonder what type of upbringing people like this had and where the corruption started...........

Maybe she is a fraud but she gave one of my friends a diploma, another a heart, and yet another courage. That's got to count for something!
