Pleasanton Weekly endorses McNerney for Congress; Abram Wilson for 15th Assembly District
Crimes & Incidents, posted by Editor, Pleasanton Weekly Online, on Oct 16, 2010 at 11:04 am

The Pleasanton Weekly Friday endorsed Congressman Jerry McNerney (D-Pleasanton) for re-election on Nov. 2 and at the same time endorsed San Ramon Mayor Abram Wilson for election as the 15th State Assembly District's new representative.

Does this surprise me - NO! What you should have stated is: "Not only has McNerney made his mark in Washington and the masters he serves" but McNerney has voted with his master 95.7% of the time. He has voted for Obamacare, Tarp, the stimulus and teacher bailout. He's still looking for the shovel ready jobs, one of which will be to box up his office and go home. Did you ever think that the reason why you may not have seen David hanging out in Pleasanton it may be because he is meeting with all constituents up and down the district. He has attended the Pleasanton Farmers Market and will be at the Tea Party in Pleasanton today. Also, he may not want to deal with you and your slanted view. You can also find David and his wife Elayne at their campaign office at various times of the week, at school events and local sports complexes as all four of their children participate in activities within the community.

It seems to me everything printed in the Pleasanton Weekly has been slanted towards McNerney - so your endorsement comes as no surprise.

It is normal for partisans to vote "with their masters" well over 90% of the time. There's no reason to believe that Harmer would be any different. Web Link

It's clear that you two have no idea what Representative McNerney has done for our district.

BTW, don't you think the Republicans (and Harmer) will vote how their masters tell them? Don't believe me?

McNerney's "no Pelosi clone - and if he should survive this, that should be the reason." And: McNerney "really works his district. He's not a lefty - and has strong Republican support" at home.

This came from Allan Hoffenblum, publisher of the nonpartisan California Target Book and a former GOP consultant
