Hit and Run Last Night
Crimes & Incidents, posted by Teri M, a resident of the Mission Park neighborhood, on Sep 2, 2010 at 8:11 am

Last night (Wednesday, September 1) around 9:15 PM my mother (73) was leaving the Castlewood Country Club area when her vehicle was struck by a hit and run driver. She had just passed under the freeway overpass heading east on Sunol Boulevard when a car exiting 680 North at Sunol/Castlewood ran the stop sign at the end of the off-ramp and struck the entire right side of her car. The driver then did a u-turn around her and got back onto 680 heading north. Fortunately my mother was not injured. As the event happened so quickly and my mother was so shaken, she was unable to obtain a description of the vehicle or the driver. We do know, the car had to be either burgundy or red (due to the paint left on my mother’s car) and she believes it was a sedan. There were other cars in the vicinity, however none of them stopped. We have filed a report with the Pleasanton Police Department. If you did witness this accident (my mother was driving as a new, silver Lexus ES 350) or if you know of a BURGUNDY OR RED SEDAN type car with driver side, front-end damage, possibly with silver paint residue, that was not there prior to last evening at 9:15, please contact the Pleasanton PD. Thank you.
