Is that a police chopper hovering overhead right now? If so, what's going on?

I was wondering the same thing. We were at the fair several hours ago and there were a ton of policemen - I'd say at least 10 - talking to some children/moms near one of the kiddie rides but I can't imagine it has anything to do with that.

Just spoke with police. They're just news helicopters, covering the fair.

THere was an accident on a ride at the fair today with an injury, no serious but it should get reported in the weekly, just on the news

It was an accident on a kids ride with SEVEN injuries. Sounds like minor ones but it sure makes me wonder about these rides. My daughter was just on that ride 2 days ago!

There was an accident on 580 eastbound before Santa Rita that the various traffic folks on the radio were reporting on, so it could well have been helicopters hovering for a long time reporting on that.

It was on the Wacky Worm kids rollercoaster. It is by one of the enterences to the fair.

Not to kill the fun or the economy, but having worked at the fair for two years when I was in high school, I will NEVER ride those rides, nor will I allow my child to ride them. Once you meet some of the people who put them together... (shudders).
