Noisy Restaurants Restaurants, posted by Main Street Fan, a resident of the Del Prado neighborhood, on Dec 10, 2009 at 2:05 pm
Is it just me or is Stacey's TOO noisy with the loud music they play? I have mentioned to a few servers who always remark that it is the owner's desire to have the music play at that level. You can hardly hear the person across the table from you. Their food is good, but the music takes away from the experience.

I have been to Stacy's a few times and those few times I have been very disappointed unfortunately, hence I do not visit any longer.. first time I did find the place noisy, not only the music but just in general it seems that their accoustics aren't very good bec I can hear everyones conversations around me. 2nd time the service is not so effecient, servers are slow to return to tables to check if water or anything is needed. I then realized that for what I was paying it wasn't worth it.

If you have a complaint about Stacey's, go to the Dilbert.com website and send a message to Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert and owner of Stacey's restaurant in Pleasanton.

On the contrary ... I love the higher music levels ... it gives the place ambiance. Much better than listening to the next table's conversation, iphones going off, et al ... going out is supposed to be fun ... keep it up Stacey's.

LiUS ... I know what you mean about noisy places ... have you been to the library after school lets out (that was supposed to be funny) ... anyway no harm done ... to each their own ... no offense given and I hope no offense taken.

Yep, the noise level in most restaurants is way too much!!Between music and sometimes a TV with sports on, you can't hear the person next to you to have a conversation!! I go out once a week on average, have been to most of the restaurants over the years in Pleasanton, and avoid many of them now because of the noise levels!!
Can anyone recommend restaurants with lower levels of noise?
