Obama's Response to Fort Hood
Comments on Stories, posted by American Guy, a resident of the Del Prado neighborhood, on Nov 6, 2009 at 3:02 am

Linda Chavez who writes for the Commentary, nailed the administration's offhanded response to an apparent terrorist attack.

"We still don’t know what was behind the killings at Ft. Hood this afternoon, in which 11 soldiers and the killer died, but President Obama’s press conference was surprising in its flippancy.

Before he got to the issue he gave a “shout-out” to government bureaucrats gathered for a previously scheduled conference at the Interior Department, complete with appreciative chuckles.

He treated the event like a pep rally rather than a tragic occasion with a wider audience than those gathered in the room. I wonder how many media outlets will compare Obama’s performance to President Bush’s “Pet Goat” moment on 9/11."

I could'nt say it any better.

The "political correctness" of the major media (except FoxNews) and their reluctance to report the actual news with relevant details is stunning. We will see which news networks reveal the details that the shooter was a muslim and decried "allah akbhar" before or while shooting, as I read on the Drudge Report.

In another example, did you all know that the teenage girl in Richmond who was brutally raped by a majority of (if not all) black males, was white? The media are very reluctant to report this. Isn't this a "hate crime" ? It sure would be if the races were reversed!

How can you tell they were "a majority of (if not all) black males"?

"Six alleged attackers face charges, while a seventh suspect has been released pending DNA evidence testing. The three juvenile suspects - all charged as adults - appeared in court Thursday. Marcelles James Peter, 17, Ari Abdallah Morales, 16, and Cody Ray Smith, 15, made brief appearances at a hearing that was continued until next week. Three adults are being held in the case, Elvis Torrentes, 21, Manuel Ortega, 19, and Jose Carlos Montano, 18.

If Obama and his advisers had perspective, respect for and true care for our troops, they would have been able to figure out on the fly how to handle the situation appropriately.

Instead they stage casket saluting photo-ops and "long planned" visits to injured troops at Walter Reed.

Most American presidents have an understanding about the cost of freedom and the price paid, on a daily basis, by our volunteers in the armed forces and their families.

"Linda Chavez who writes for the Commentary" yeah, right. Believe a right-wing blog or website with an axe to grind? I might as well believe left-wing blogs attacks on Pres. Bush.

Did you bother to check other sources? The words I heard from President Obama were very sincere.

Obama was slated to speak at the end of a conference, and chose not to make his complete set of closing remarks in the face of the tragedy at Fort Hood. I saw his remarks live. He lent a couple of minutes to addressing the conference attendees who were there in the room in front of him for his finishing remarks, then immediately began an address regarding the situation in Texas.

Isn't she the same Linda Chavez who failed to impress by her criminal behavior and never became a member of President Bush's cabinet? Yup, she's the one and only! LOSER Chavez!
