Mom's best advice
Around Town, posted by Mom x 3, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on May 1, 2007 at 1:51 pm

I was sort of a rebellious teenager, which I am now ashamed of. My mom told me three things during that timeframe and I thought she was crazy. Now that I'm older, and I'd like to think wiser, she was pretty darn smart.

My mom's best advice:

1. Build your financial credit and your good name and keep it healthy. Make sure if and when you need something that people find you trustworthy.

2. Get an education. Your freedom, your money, your house and everything can be taken from you... but your education stays with you for a lifetime.

And the most important, and truest:

3. Enjoy your life, because the older you get, the faster the time goes.

Anyone else have a smart mom?

It may not qualify as advice, but my mom has always displayed the value of being a good friend. She's loyal, a good listener who gives sound advice, funny and very thoughtful.
