THE INEVITABLE PHASE OF FEAR BEFORE RECOVERY

Warren Buffet was recently on TV giving his opinions on the state of union. He started by saying that we are in the middle of an economic war and that inevitably brings about fear. In turn, fear leads to confusion and confusion leads to irrational thinking. The only way around this is to reduce the confusion so fear and irrational thinking can subside. The other point was that America's economic future is very bright. The cause of the current dismay is "unwarranted leverage" that by definition collapses when the gas runs out ... BUT! The fact that America's business is business ... well, we still do that very well. He ends by saying our children will have it better than we did and their children will have it better than they will. What's my point: We're in the phase of "irrational thinking". We've lost our balance and in many ways we've lost our "comfort foods" of relative and sometimes unwarranted luxury ... I agree with Warren Buffet ... it's only a matter of time for American business to re-invent and innovate itself back to productivity. We really don't want a civil war ... we really don't want to do harm to those in office ... and we certainly don't want to lose basic freedoms, especially the Freedom of Speech. Only in America can a Town Square forum like this exist. Controversy in a family is inevitable. Conflict in America is inevitable. Still, I vote for America and yes, some of the dysfunctional attributes that come along with it.
