Liberals are pathetic

Original post made by Drexl on Jul 27, 2009

Conservatives are angry because some of them voted for our current president thinking he was going to be in the middle; he is not, so the conservatives are upset; wouldn't you be? Funny though; why are liberals upset; why call conservatives names; and jokes? You won, you will pass what you will pass without one input from conservatives; so why bother with all the name calling; almost bully like, got us on the ground, let's beat them down more. Pathetic. Funny part about all this, the rich will continue to have the best care; it is the middle class that will get screwed by everything passed by the current liberal congress/president. You asked for it, you will get it, and this time, it will not be Bush's fault.

Now the liberals are going to have to defend Obama for causing mayhem and disorder in our streets. Not that all those unruly youth know that Obama thinks police are 'stupid' and do 'stupid' things.!!!
SO great for the YOUTH of American to be told that...black or white.

Drexel, honey, it's time to come out of your room and turn off the AM Radio. Ever since Obama won you simply won't stop crying. Would more cookies and milk make it all better? If you're a good boy I'll get you that Glenn Beck t-shirt you had your eye on.

Of all people me, Mr. left Winger himself, need to express to you that it is time to let go, or at least work towards letting go.

The County is in a financial crisis, people are loosing or have lost their jobs and or homes, no job is safe, nobody is getting raises, the Far Right AND the Far Left are WAY out of control, almost to the point of a civil war!

We all need to take a step back and try and respect one another as fellow citizens, no mater weather we are left or right, black, white, yellow, red, male, female, straight, gay, Democrat or Republican.

I am always reminded of the Loma Preita earth quake, in which people went to great lengths in sacrifice what little they had left, to help their neighbor. It never crossed anyone's mind what religion or how someone voted.

Actually, we are all blessed in many ways, just to have a computer and the lights on.

I am going to try and not react so strongly to what I feel is B.S. and rhetoric.

Jon,dan, Drexel's mommy,

that is right we have america right where we want them and now we can finish them off. Let's make sure we give everything to people who will not work and do not contribute, illegals, terrorists, and let's finish them off. We control everything and no one can stop us. We even are going to put ACORN in charge of the census so we can do what we want. That is right it is all Bush's fault and let's get them.

After 8 years of Bush, Rush, and all the rest we are free to pass whatever bills we want and whenever we want. As I mentioned we have the house, senate, presidency, and hopefully in the near future we can control the supreme court as well and the we will control absolutely all 3 branches of the government.

Honestly I believe should try and control everything and remake the government the way we want it. Changing the constitution should be a priority so that we can eliminate guns and restrict those talk radio haters like Limbaugh from being able to have an open microphone. If we can continue to control then we can make america into the environment that we have always wanted it to be. One of love.

Based on the average male negro's history of high blood pressure and high cancer rate it's only a matter of time until Obama has a massive stroke or other health emergency and is unabe to continue as president. America will then be safe from communism.

Based on the average white male history of high cholesterol and high obesity rate it's only a matter of time until Rush Limbaugh has a massive stroke or other health emergency and is unable to continue as leader of the Republican party. Republicans will then be safe from his dribble and can move over and listen to Sarah Pahlin's.

unbelievable to read all these loud ignorant comments by the left wingers. hello, do you all even get it????????? things in the U.S. are going downhill fast and your president is contributing to it. wake up! all of the quiet republicans are just waiting for this all to blow up.

Good morning! Looks like the leftists in town got more than their usual dose of Kool-Aid this morning.....unbelievable, the verbal excrement coming from you lefties.
As you continue to gloat about being in power (like you all personally contributed so much to that tragedy occurring), think about what 40 years of Dem's ruling California has turned out. Now that you're almost done screwing Calif. up, I guess it's time to move on to the national level.........nice going. Who exactly does this benefit?

I for one actually think it is great what is going on. I mean the libs control everything right now and are basically having their way with every iniative and the american public is in out right revolt over what they are doing, Pelosi, Boxer, Dodd, et al are getting pounded in the polls as they cannot blame the republicans because they republicans are sitting this one out so who will be left holding the bag if a year from now we are still not working?

Well, Luke and SteveP you are right on and there were a few others that hit the nail on the head.

I can't believe all the trash I've read this morning from you Demo's. You Obama lovers are a real bunch of misguided folks. But, you are starting to see the real Obama and you know it and I know you are starting to run scared...His lack of experience...His shooting from the hip comments and on and on...and to top it off his lowering the quality and class of the Presidency of the United States...come on over and have a beer...what a low life we have in the White House...it gets me sick when I hear his name and it will get you sick in a matter of time, hopefully a short time. He's doesn't even have the balls to release his official birth certificate from Hawaii...why, because there isn't one on file.

And Cholo, you are more brain dead when it comes to expressing yourself about politics then you were about the BART issue.

Folks (meaning you demo's) if your Obama stays the course, the USA will be in the deepest economic hole ever. Even you, will see the needed to change course in 2012.

Enjoy the day you Demo's...Julia Pardini from Alamo

What will it take to get people to march on Sacramento, Washington D.C. and rattle some nerves here? Letters, community meetings is not changing anything. Voting the same people in has done nothing. We have some war incident occur and marchers are out in droves. With a war on your pocketbook and quality of life issues present and you cannot be bothered. It is going to take physical effort, not just flapping your yappers on this blog. Thank God for the Blue Dog Demos of which I am one. Everything in moderation is a good policy.

Some of the post I read on this forum really make me embarrassed!

We moved here from Palo Alto a few years ago and the Weekly is owned by Embarcadero Publishing Company in Palo Alto. Palo Alto Weekly has an on live version with a forum as well.

I regularly read that forum. The same major issues and topics are discusses and these are very sensitive issues. I have very rarely ever seen a post or response that was rude, belligerent, racial, or an outright attack.

This REALLY makes me wonder about Pleasantonians!

If I had a teenager, I would be VERY worried and upset about the prospect of them reading the posts in htese forums. These kids learn a form of Rosenthall's NVC, NoN Violent Communication here in Pleasanton schools, in the form of "Community Of Character" and in my childs case T.R.I.B.E.S.

We have studied NVC and used these communication skills for years as a couple and so it's very natural for us.

Are the Pleasanton parents and or other adults even aware that the Pleasanton schools teach this? Are the adults willing to learn or practice NoN Violent communication skills?

Berating and putting down people because of their political affiliation or any belief system is FUTILE!

The Republican Party is not a party of conservatives. It's lost, with no direction and no leadership.

Any conservative who voted for BHO thinking he would govern as a moderate simply did not do their homework. If this is you, you get an "F"!

Is anyone else bothered by a guy who won't share his college transcripts? I'm a public school teacher. I was required to show all my college transcripts when applying for positions. Why is it that the leader of the free world, arguably the most powerful person on earth, gets a pass?

Lynn,
Thank you for posting your comments. I too, share your concern and wonder why people with all this free time to post, can't come up with something more productive to post than cheap-shot free flowing insults.
The posts are light in any facts or references(links)to facts and heavy and arrogance and blatent disrespect of their neighbors, while
claiming superioriority of character and good intent.
One poster compared Obama to Hitler, and although I don't share that concern, I am concerned about the populus's response.

Will BHO supporters please justify why he gets a free pass by not sharing details of his college transcripts or any of his term/thesis papers. BHO has a very thin resume. He was primarily elected on charisma. He seems like a great guy to hang out with. I wouldn't mind shooting hoops with him, or having an in depth conversation about the challenges we face as Americans.
This is a critically important time in this nation's history. Our enemies, within and outside our borders, are gathering and plotting our downfall. I fear that this man is our Commander-in-Chief. I fear the advice he is getting from his handful of trusted advisors.
A single error in judgment.
I fear that he alone can trigger World War III.
We, the people of this great nation, made an error in not insisting there be a more complete vetting of this remarkable and remarkably unknown man.

Most Pleasantonians are...well, pleasant. Nice people, really. I moved here from Southern California and one reason I did was that so many people in Pleasanton seem to be kind, considerate folk.

Unfortunately, the anonymity of the Pleasanton Weekly forums seems to attract the worst element, people filled with rage and with apparently too much time on their hands. There is also an element of racist right-wingers in Pleasanton who simply cannot abide the fact that a family with dark skin is living in the White House. These folk, who would fit in well at any John Birch, neo-Nazi, or KKK rally, have been in perpetual meltdown ever since Obama trounced McCain last November.

I'd say "most" Pleasantonians are nice, reasonable folk, whether they are Republicans, Democrats, or Independents--but if you want to read some really disturbing, hateful comments, the Pleasanton Weekly "community forums' are your best bet!

Sorry Lynn---you really are---sorry. As in, a sorry excuse for a Pleasanton resident.
No one played the race card but you. Stay in the shallow end of the gene pool where you belong.
Race doesn't make you qualified of unqualified to run the country; only experience, intelligence, good judgement and acting in the best interest of a majority of Americans--Obama does not fit those qualifications.
He's only a facade---a cult of personality. His mandate is up.
