Bumper Sticker Funnies...

Original post made by Rita, Country Fair, on Jul 22, 2009

With all the personal attacks from both the right and the left which seem to dominate the posts and comments on this web-site lately, I think its time for some "funny". Of course, somebody will still get mad, but in today's Valley Times there was a reprinted article by Tom Purcell of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "A BUMPER CROP OF STICKERS THAT BODE BADLY FOR BARACK"
A few-"I hope I have some change left in 4 years"
"Barack Obama: A new chapter in American history, Chapter 13"
"Honk if I'm paying your mortgage"
"The Big Three couldn't sell me a car, so they stole my taxes instead"
"Are you better off than you were $4 trillion dollars ago?"
"Hey Barack, we're baroke!"
"If Obama's stimilus was working, I'd be working"
"You think health care is expensive now? Wait unitl its free"
"Like visiting the DMV? You'll love government health care"
"Government health care: IRS compassion, post-office efficiency"
Got any more, folks, becuase its time to laugh. We can't cry anymore. And don't tell me to go to Texas or the Central Valley, cuz I aint goin.

Funny. My all time favorite is:

Do America A Favor - Plant A Bush Back In Texas!

Thank goodness we took that bumper sticker to heart.

it's startling how as this new President strips all americans of free choice, freedoms, money, and personal responsibility, the blind blame it all on Bush. Obama can keep his change...

That doesn't seem very funny as a bumper sticker, Sasha. You might want to go back to the drawing board and try again. Short and witty, that's the key to a good bumper sticker. And spell-checked.

So Dominic, which of your freedoms have been stripped away from you? You claim to not have free choice any longer? What or who is preventing you from making free choices? Are your phones being tapped without your knowledge? Are you being stripped searched at the airport by the friendly TSA? Are your Internet purchasing patterns being scrutinized for possible links to terrorism? Are you living in fear of the middle eastern boogeyman stealing your children? If so, you cannot blame BO, all these "freedoms" were stripped away by Bush.

A couple of my favorites.

So...how's that whole "hopey changey" thing working out for ya?

Annoy a Liberal, Help Yourself

& most importantly,

"When the people fear their government there is tyranny. When the government fears the people there is liberty."
-Thomas Jefferson

Basically anyone with more sayings on their bumper than on their own mind, regardless of message, worries me.
