Posted by Janie Haile-Taylor, a resident of the Pleasanton Heights neighborhood, on Dec 9, 2007 at 10:24 pm My name is Janie. I'm Hilton Haile's youngest daughter. Every December 7, I have read his comment's he wrote on what he saw that day. But, I never thought any part of it would be in print.
My Uncle Phil and his wife, are resident's of Pleasanton and he sent me the article that was in the Pleasanton Weekly. I recognized so many of the names mentioned in the article. Family names that were friends of my parents or patrons of my mother, Avanell, who for many years ran a beauty shop out of our home on Abbie St.
Many years have passed, people have come and gone and it has been a long time since I have even been to Pleasanton. My sister, Lori, still lives there. I miss P-town. It will always be my home.
Obviously, I don't live in Pleasanton Heights. I'm currently in Nevada. But,I would like to Thank whoever wrote the article and whoever submitted it for remembering my Father. It meant alot to myself and my sister.
