The "Obama is a boogie-man" theory is getting a little long in the tooth. Hitler blamed the Jews, Old Southern Whites blamed the Negro, the jihad Muslim blames the White Devil ... and Pleasanton conservatives blame Obama. The world is complex. The issues daunting. As I have mentioned before, history does not bode well for societies who transfer their ills to prejudicial scapegoats. Let's grow up and find a more comprehensive solution to the problem other than "The Devil made me do it".

m,
interesting that you would compare Obama to Hitler, KKK southern white, and Jihad Muslim's as you must think that there is a real connection there and a lot of people see the similaries.

Bobby & J
Boy, you guys are like arguing with my two year old. Jsays "He called me a bad name first" ... Bobby says "I'm rubber your glue ..." Yeah! Very brilliant on your part guys.
The more I think about it Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber's logic structure sure has made an impression on people like you. Your first grade teacher must be proud to know you haven't budged from her class.
Now, when you're ready to get serious, what I am saying is that reducing complexity to scapegoats is a dangerous slope. It never leads to a productive conclusion. History does not bode well for myopic thinking. Remain adult, think rationally. We don't have to agree, but we should at least be at an adult reading level to do our part in governing this nation.

These posts and comments always come down to some kind of name calling or put downs, "m" thinks "j" and "Bobby" are 2 year olds and he is the father/mother figure. Get real, I'm done with this place.

Steph, I agree. Too much name calling and personal attacks under the guise of "free speech". Bobby & "j" comments went to "m's" statement, but "m" responded with a personal attack on Bobby & "j":
2 year olds,Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber logic...has made an impression on PEOPLE LIKE YOU.
I'm not sure about what is going on here but either Pleasanton has a lot psuedo intellectuals or a lot of kids home for the summer with nothing to do.

I agree,
am I missing something here or did I misread your post. I have read what J and Bobby wrote and do not see anything out of line written by them but M seemed to lash out a bit.

Hey "m", did you even read the article, it was from the "Christian Science Monitor" which is a well respected and fairly impartial publication. Where did the "boogie man" theory come from ? I didn't see it.
