Obamacare is a "War on Seniors!"
State, National, International, posted by John, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Jul 22, 2009 at 6:54 am

Severely limiting care for seniors is Obama's intention. What you can expect as you get older is "pain pill" treatment instead of the care you may really need.

And when you become a senior (I haven't found the definition of senior yet...and I am sure it will change) did you hear about your MANDATORY COUNSELING every 5 years? MANDATORY END OF LIFE COUNSELING!!!

My mother is currently age 92. Knock on wood, she is in very good health. She walks over 2 miles a day and lifts lightweight dumbells as well. I know people in their 50's who are not as physically able as my mom. She would tell her MANDATORY COUNSELOR WHERE TO GO as she has more JOY OF LIVING than many people I know.

Obamacare is an absolute WAR ON SENIORS!

All of the above is true as is the fact that your money will be used for abortions.

"YOUR money" has been used for abortions even during the BUSH administration, as it has been for years and years.

And it's NOT "your" money, it's debt we owe to the chinese, as we have NO MONEY!

Just the FACTS!

Don't let it bother you as for the last 6 months I have been doing everything in cash and thus have been paying little in taxes if anything. Very hard to trace and is the way of the future. We are developing into a lawless society so the ones who know the game will flourish.

"WAR ON SENIORS!!!" wave the red flag to scare everyone, why don't you. If you read the text of the proposal itself:

pages 425 and on from there,

you'll see that the purpose is to see that seniors have their papers in order to make *their* wishes known to their doctors and *their* loved ones to save legal problems and misundertandings down the road. While this probably isn't necessary for seniors who regularly visit their doctor (because most good general practitioners routinely advise their patients to have the Advanced Health Care directive in place and copies available to their spouse (if alive), their children, their hospital and the doctors themselves), many seniors don't think to have this in place. And while I'm not sure that the logistics and expense of the counselors will "fly", I do think it's a great idea for everyone to have their wishes and plans known. Having an Advanced Health Care directive in place does *not* mean that care is limited and that "you'll only get a pain pill and not the care you need".

I have cared for my two elderly parents through many hospitalizations and illnesses, and I know how valuable it is to have their wishes known to all concerned.
