Let's hope there are a few union members with any common sense! Already the most highly paid with the best benefits in the rail industry, and they have the gall to even be talking strike! Let them hit the streets and find out just how well they already have it. How many of us enjoy the benefits that BART employees currently get, and yet they want more.

Unless I mis-heard what was said on the news this morning, the contract proposal they will be voting on calls for a 3 year pay freeze and benefits to be locked at the current levels. Seems to be a reasonable contract given the current economy and unemployment numbers.
