This is not a good time to sell. I am not sure why realtors keep trying to get people to list their homes. Prices are down.

And prices are going down more in the coming months and years. Be prepared to ride it out.

I know - but that is why I don't understand why realtors are pushing people to sell. If prices are going down, why would we as a society want more people to buy and get mortgages on houses when values are declining? It would only worsen the foreclosure crisis.

And if prices start going up again sometime, then the sellers can make a better profit for themselves.

Either way: whether prices are going down more or stabilizing, or going up at some point, realtors are not honest/forthcoming when they tell people it's a good time to sell/buy.

The best thing is to ride this thing out, and not contribute further to the housing crisis currently going on.

Don't miss out on the discussion!
