Government Service Union (SEIU) wants more of your money
Original post made by mk on Jun 10, 2009
The California State Council of Service Employees International Union launched a $1 million statewide advertising blitz today with a television commercial calling for new taxes to help balance the state budget.
Some of the text from their ad:
"In Sacramento ... a budget crisis. To solve it, we need balance ... cooperation ... common sense. The politicians propose cuts that hit families ... with no sacrifice from the special interests. "
SEIU is one of the largest special interests in the State. They just want more of your tax money to protect their pensions. What is interesting is they have a lot of money to burn. $1M on this campaign alone.
