Do we want a police blotter on Pleasanton Weekly's website? Crimes & Incidents, posted by Remi, a resident of the Pleasanton Meadows neighborhood, on May 13, 2009 at 7:55 pm
My answer is a big YES. Did my neighbor hit his wife? Did my doctor get a DUI? It's informative and entertaining. Maybe it’s not an advertisement for Pleasanton but news rarely is, and as I've said before, this site is for us Pleasantonians, the world is not watching. What do you think?

It is fine with me as long as they do not name names of people arrested until convicted. I was playing sports over 30 years ago at Chico State and unfortunately got in a bit of trouble and got arrested. I thought nobody would know and then the next monday at practice everybody on the team knew about it and it was only then that I found out that it was on the front page of the paper with everybody else who either got arrested or got a ticket.

A police blotter is a list of recent arrests and crimes. Or a daily written record of events (as arrests) in a police station, or more specificly a register, maintained by the desk sergeant, of people arrested or brought in for questioning to a police station.
