Hey man, that's great news for Michael. And why wouldn't he retire? Under the city's plan, he can collect virtually 100% of his pay plus benefits to not work! That's too good of a deal to pass up.

Thanks for a job well done and for serving the City of Pleasanton for many years. You will be missed and will certainly leave big shoes to fill. It will be tough to find someone with the work ethic and passion you have for serving our community. Best to you and your family on the next stage of your life.

Congratulations Mike! You were very instrumental in pulling together all of the various factions and acquiring the land for the City's new golf course. All of this while trying to balance all of the other demands of your office. You will be missed and will leave a big void.Enjoy your retirement.

Michael, I really appreciate the opportunity I had to work with you, first as a resident, later as a Council member, and again as a resident. So many accomplishments and challenges well met! You have a lot to celebrate in retirement. Our community of "characters" has probably provided enough material for a very entertaining TV series...Best wishes and enjoy!

Michael, your desk looks just like mine.
Congratulations, and I look forward to continuing to see you in your P-T capacity.
