Rescued, Captain Phillips a HERO - 3 Pirates killed State, National, International, posted by Marine Mom, a resident of Livermore, on Apr 12, 2009 at 11:08 am
The details of how the rescue took place is still coming in but the Captain and our Navy/military are heros! I have been praying for his safe rescue as I'm sure many of you have.
(Jerry-Silly People, You may not want to blow away the pirates but I for one am ok with that. So go on with your rants about why not but as I said before - Don't mess with U.S. (us) I for one am a proud American if you aren't go elsewhere.)
Semper Fi~ Hoorah!
Have A GREAT Easter everyone and God Bless us all...

Cholo:
You are one glowing jewel of flaming ignorance...in addition to being quite anti-American. What is it that you like about this country anyway?
I certainly hope, for your sake, that you and Marine Mom don't find yourselves in the same room. I'd place bets on her anyday.
Marine Mom...you are so right. Keep on posting because I very much appreciate your view and presence. Thank you to your courageous son, as well.
Cholo...get out of your anti-American comfort zone...I dare you to pick up a book by Mark Levin entitled "Liberty and Tyranny" and actually read a few paragraphs of it. The 'tyranny' aspect of it is describing you, your beliefs and actions.

The good news is that marine mom has no power to do much of anything.. She is nothing more that a nuisance with a big mouth and an annoying message. She has never participated in a war and she has never been in a war zone. marine mom = sick puppy
paul, unless you have been in a war zone and killed the enemy, you also are not much more that a defensive poster with a big upper lip. Zip it up...please!
You have no idea of what it is like to even kill the enemy.

People are desperate for heroes and to identify with heroes. We want to pretend that we would act like them as we speed around Pleasanton on the phone in our SUVs, going through red lights and ignoring the rights of pedestrians.
The first articles about the plane crash in the Hudson implied that passengers allowed a woman with a baby to exit first. It turned out they wouldn't let her go, and she had to barge her way to the front with help from another passenger. Instead of looking for a story in the news to latch onto and pretend it means something about us, we could improve our own day to day behavior. It needs it.

Semper Fi, Marine Mom.
I don't even know which cholo this is because there are so many and they're all from different neighborhoods and cities. But one thing is certain, all the young cholo's are going to learn first hand what it means to serve your country becuase Prez.Obama is big on national service and he will get around to it soon. And then, guess what cholo boy-its time to get off your face and join the real world.

Watch Obama and his Admin try to take credit for the rescue of Captain Phillips.
The mainstream media will also paint a glowing picture of "Obama's brilliant strategy and patience in capturing Phillips."
In reality, his capture was done in spite of Obama's lack of deciciveness and his spineless, limp wristed appeasement position.
This whole situation should not have taken 4 days to resolve, given the military skills of the US. Obama...you are making our country weaker and weaker by the minute.

Cholo you are wrong - I can do something which is to support our troops and my country. I feel sorry for your wife, daughter, sister if anyone came to harm or rape them as I feel you will not have the where with all to protect and try to save them from harm.
You have attacked me personally because you disagree with my viewpoint - you have a right to disagree just as I have a right to my point of view. But you see you are no different as you feel the need to attack me as you see me as the enemy. This is how war starts, those who cannot control themselves want to attack others just as you have done to me. You are NOT a person of peace as you profess or you would not take personal attacks.
I am sorry this has opened some deep emotional wounds for you and are obviously suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and I urge you get help ASAP from a Mental Healtcare Professioal. There is a VA Hospital in Livermore.
I am sure you will have to respond to my post with further personal attacks on me but in all sincerity I do hope you can find inner peace from your demons someday.

@ Marine Mom: Well said!
@ Cholo: Thanks for keeping the discussion lively. But please enlighten us how you think the situation should have been handled?

@ Cholomom: If you think the draft is coming back anytime soon, you know nothing about today's military.

All that matters to me about this whole incident is that the Captain will soon join his family and friends and they will all be happy! VIVA! The Captain is a national hero...VIVA!
