Meadowlark mural gets a facelift
Around Town, posted by Editor, Pleasanton Weekly Online, on Mar 25, 2009 at 7:08 pm

Amidst a line of cars waiting for a chilly treat from the Meadowlark Dairy, Artist "Big Al" Meadows worked to preserve springtime in Pleasanton. It's been 14 years since he painted the original mural on the drive-through dairy wall, and this time he's adding history with each stroke of the paint brush.

It would be kinda nice to have the Alviso Adobe Park in there, at least the way it was looking when they first finished it. Kinda looking like the Tall Grass is taking over now...

Hi Stacey, I see you are a regular on all the forums too. Oh yes it's really me enjoying the nice neat beautification of downtown and the surrounding areas around Pleasanton. I believe it's really you too :) Wonder if he is painting in the wild tall grass :) I was told it's the natural approach that they are using around the historical dairy these days.

Life must be very good for Claudette. Seems like even in the midst of world economic turmoil, the school budget crisis etc.... all she has to worry about to the grass being too tall for her liking at the Alviso Park. Get some perspective PLEASE.....

No matter what kind of day you're having, a drive through the Meadowlark Dairy can put a smile on your face. We're lucky to have it!
