Gee, I wonder if Susanna Gordon listens to right-wing AM radio? Hey Susanna, you might want to try thinking for yourself, instead of regurgitating republican talking points from Rush "Oxycodone" Limbaugh and calling everything "socilaist". Enough with your FOX News inspired hate.

Ok. So let's start with the 800lb gorillas in the corner. Let's put a bullet in GM, Ford, Citi Group, AIG, and Bank of America. That should be a good start. After that let's talk.

Susanna Gordon, you are spot on! Teach someone to fish, don't give them the fish.

I learned how to fish. I went fishing one day and caught a fish. I put my fish into a fish repository where I thought it would be safe until such a time as I wanted to feed my family with it. While I wasn't looking, the fish repository people got greedy and used my fish for their own benefit. Now I have no fish. I have to go fishing again, but there aren't many fish left because no one made the fish repository people stick to the rules. In fact, the rules were repealed by friends of the fish repository owners!

What did they expect? A man with 146 days into his first political job says he's going to run for President? That sounds about like a new GM employee saying he is going to run GM in two years. (Albeit, that could happen too, I guess). It is just too bad that this rookie president comes into office with high oratory and no substance to lead a nation out of financial difficulties. If you bypass all of the hype, watch the actions instead of what he says, you will conclude too that his agenda is to make a one party government. Gun control, new socialist programs, major entitlements all lead to a populace that loses their right to object. As Thomas Jefferson said, "The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
One other quote from Thomas, The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. You will see Boston type Tea Parties in the near future. These will be nice at first but could lead to violence in the not to near future. Pray for our country.

Eisenhower was smart enough to realize he was only a leader of an army, and had to surround himself with the captains of industry to understand the world of business.

Obama, the community activist and enroller of multiple-times voters, has ascended to the Presidency, and - having grabbed onto the tail of the tiger - surrounds himself with theoriticians, academics, and people who do not manufacture anything but concepts and dreams, to fill in the holes of a socialist agenda which is still a work in progress. Aided by the likes of Rahm Emanual, David Axelrod, Bill Ayers, and legislated upon by the Starkist Queen Nancy Pelosi and real estate scammer Harry Reed, the C Team is in place and ready to pounce on every dollar of wealth ever created, to be redistributed to - and in pursuit of expanding the power of the Democratic party for perpetuity - an army of permanent underclass voters beholden to a government for everything.

God help the United States of America.

Destroy. Wreck. Tear Down. Break. Ruin. It's the commie way, the Alinsky way, and it's Comrade Maobama's way.

Stacey, it all depends on how you look at the future. There are and will always be plenty of opportunities for those that go out in the market and take advantage. Open your eyes. It's tough right now, but it's not all gloom and doom. Positive will win the day! I refuse to surrender my liberty to the government.

In the year Rome fell the masses cheered
From a lonely place I watched her burn
In my prison cell the worst was feared
As they swept her ash into history's urn

Her golden age had long since past
Her fleet of proud ships dashed & shattered
Taunt lines that held them strong and fast
Were blurred and frayed, the sails tattered

With moral sextants misaligned
They sailed to rock and petty sea
Truth's hull integrity declined
Rushed in filth and debauchery

As Senator's of place and station
With pockets lined and glad hand grin
Watched Empire walls with strong foundation
Now crumbled, cracked, fall from within

In the year Rome fell, no lessons learned
No voice to warn from dungeon floor
With history changed, and pages burned
The fall of Rome begins once more

Susanna,

I took my best shot. If you want to interpret my comments as condescending, patronizing, and smug, you totally missed the point. I know the Republican party is in a shambles right now (can't get much worse if people are actually frightened of getting on Rush Limbaugh's bad side), but Democratic gloating solves nothing. So why not look for that common ground?

Back to you...

Susanna:
Terrific posting! Our economy right now is what happens when liberalism goes unchecked. Even before Obama, all you had to do was examine the major metro area where democrats have been in control for decades...like New Orleans and Detroit. Since the dems have been in control there...along with democrat Governors, these two cities should be shining examples of utopian cities where equal opportunity, fairness, low-crime, multi-culturalism, among other democrat beacons abound. On the contrary, they are among the worst places to live in the US.

New Orleans and Detroit environments are what will expand throughout the entire US, with "liberalism gone wild."

GREAT ARTICLE SUSANNA!! When will Democrats/liberals learn that there HAS to be more people pulling the wagon than are in it? Go to the Post office on Black Ave and the majority of the employees are immigrants...they live for government "safe" jobs. When will people understand that government can't inspire or create or 'save' you - only people with ideals and enthusiasm will go into the private sector and create jobs and industry and then create the money to pay all the government employees? Take away the private sector and the government loses. Figure it out people. Think outside of your 'wants'. John McCain's slogan was the best "Country First" In other words, don't make decisions that benefit a group or an individual. Make decisions that benefit the entire country like tax cuts, etc. I will say that at least Obama's slogan was truthful "Change", only he meant the other definition...the CHANGE out of your pocket, bank account, etc! Ug. Liberalism IS a mental disease.
