Celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Donate too!
Reflections, posted by Claudette McDermott, a resident of the Del Prado neighborhood, on Mar 2, 2009 at 7:18 pm

San Francisco shines on St. Patrick's Day with celebrations that include green beer, bag pipes, song and dance at Ireland's 32 on Geary, Pat O'Shea's on Geary, The Shannon Arms on Taraval... and more. Instead of getting blitzed out of your minds, take it back a notch and donate $20 to your favorite charities or Pleasanton's FireHouse Art Center. This community Art Center will hold a 240 seat theater, 2000 square foot art gallery and 2 large classrooms. This Art Center will be an entertaining and lucrative source for our community that we will all profit from. It should open in 2010 and with a little help from our Leprechaun Friends, it will be a grand example for Performing Arts as well as Visual Arts in our own back yard. What will you be doing March 17 for St. Patrick's Day? Go to www.pleasantonartsfoundation.org for more info and to send ye little Leprechauns on over too with a wee bit a gold! Go Raibh Maith Agat (Thank You) and Happy La'Le Padraig (St. Patrick's).

hmmmm tried to post an excellent watercolor of an Irish scene looking out of an alley with beer kegs and brick walls onto the cobble stone street in front of a pub... Go to Web Link to view.
