Interstate 580 clear following injury crash

All westbound lanes of Interstate Highway 580 reopened in unincorporated Alameda County west of Pleasanton this morning, about nine hours after a Safeway Stores big rig collided with a parked car and sent four men to an area hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.

I drove by that section of 580 around 7:30am thanksgiving morning. I was amazed to hear that all survived. The cab of the semi truck was so badly damaged that I thought for sure that the driver would have been killed. What a miracle that he got out of that mess without any serious injuries.
