Home has never been photographed in 127 year history.
Home is unique, 99% intact with gaslights in place.
13 ft. ceilings, 12 ft. doors, glass ceilings in formal dining room,
hidden or secret brick room between 2nd and 3rd floors, reported
haunted by See, oral history.
Preservationists and owners, have expertise in architectural design
and in applied arts, making the home a living museum of the arts
and containing the largest private collections of rare timepieces
, one of the most rare collections of oriental screens staring
at the 1600's as confirmed by the British Museum curator of oriental
arts and has the only fully mobile exterior box gardens as created
by Dr.Clemes as based on antique photos of gardens used by immigrant's
who entered and lived in New York City slums. With little space
and very little soil, they were able to produce enough food for
a family and even add beauty to their drab environment.
Dr. Clemes has just present a grant of over $20,000.00 in the form
of these mature gardens, trees and fences for the new public gardens
to be developed next to the See House.
Dr.Clemes is the only educator in history of California to be
granted credentials in all arts, applied arts , all liberal arts
and in cinema . As a former U.S. Federal Scholar , he obtained
all of his expertise in the Gifted Scholars Programs at Univestity
of California, Berkeley.
His spouse, Dr. B. Paine-Clemes, an active CMA professor in all
liberal arts, lectures from Istanbul to St. Petersburg on creativity.
