Great work both off and on the court. You make the town and Amador alumni proud, but the real benefits will be yours! Your future is limitless with hard work like that!

Congratulations to the boys who are able to play a sport and keep their GPA up through their senior year. This is tough to do and the coaches were lucky to have such a great group of young men. All the kudos go to the boys for their hard work! Great job boys!

I can tell you none of those kids are going with basketball scholarships or because of their varsity coachs assistance!! As a matter of fact, NONE of them have D1, or D2 basketball scholarships They did all of that on their own or from other sports programs. Good luck boys.

Wow burgerjoint, you take the opportunity 6 months after the original story about a great accomplishment by a group of boys to jump in and rip the coach? Are you a disgruntled coach who got fired or did someone you know get cut? Nice of you to add the "good luck boys" at the end of your vent.

Say what the..

Yes, a previous varsity coach however never fired in my coaching roles. I now mentor students looking for scholarships through athletics and music. I just read the article recently because I have a life. So why are you following up and READING IT six months later? And if you know so much, DO they HAVE any scholarships to D1 or D2 schools for basketball? Prove me wrong but a recruiter interested in an Amador basketball player in recent years, has never come across my desk. I know our kids in Dublin are prepared with assistance from their coaches and staff. I wish them luck because they will have to do it on their own, however capable with their grades.

I agree with BurgerJoint. None of these players got any help from the AV coaches for scholarship opportunities. Dublin and Livermore players seem to get more help than any of the Pleasanton basketball players who just have to figure it out themselves. Or worse yet, try to get noticed DESPITE their coaches . . . very sad indeed.

Any truth to the rumor that some if not all of the AV boys basketball coaches are getting fired? If so good riddance!
