As Mother's Day approaches, watch out for new Mother ducks and goslings around storm drains

Original post made by Lisa Lorentz, Vintage Hills Elementary School, on May 10, 2013

As Mother's Day approaches, May is also time for new mother ducks and their newly hatched goslings to leave their nests and "hit the road."

Every year the poor goslings will often fall into storm drains around town and need rescuing. Please help these new "mothers" and let animal control know if you see or hear baby's in drains. Happy Mother's Day to all!

Just a clarification:

Mother ducks and their 'ducklings'

Goslings are baby 'geese'.

Happy Mother's Day
