Senior Ditch Day?
Schools & Kids, posted by Parent, a resident of the Foothill Knolls neighborhood, on Nov 9, 2008 at 7:06 pm

Rumors around of Senior Ditch Day tomorrow, 11/10 for Foothill. Any parents with more information about what might be hatching and where the seniors are planning on going? Something to be concerned about?

What do you mean.. "Something to be concerned about??" Of course it's something to be concerned about. If you know in advance that there's going to be a 'ditch day'.. take away the car keys! Make a date to drop them.. pick them up at school! Meet them on the quad for lunch!

Kids who 'ditch' get in trouble.. cause trouble.. get hurt or worse. They're supposed to attend school. See that they do.

If you don't.. 'that's' something to be concerned about!

Thanks for the warning...

I heard the same rumor from another parent. I always thought the Monday after Senior Ball was the traditional skip day.

Pleasanton schools have an automated system for dailing homes when kids are late for class or miss a class. The online Zangle program also notes when a student misses a class.

There's no reason with these two programs that any parent should be in the dark on whether their student was in class or not.

Right, *after* the fact. But true.

Maybe somebody meant to say Senior Snitch Day? Or, Senior Stitch Day?

I can understand somebody want to stitch his/her shadow to a tree but to snitch about it, puzzles me...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
