Do any of the stores in Pleasanton Chinese Processed Chicken?

Original post made by highdiver, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Jul 29, 2014

Being unable to post on the Safeway sale site without signing up, I post this here. I read that Chickens grown in the US is sent to China for processing is then sent back to the US for consumption. I also read that McDonalds, KFC and others in China will not sell chicken and hamburgers, basically they sell only French fries. And $1 million of rat and small animals is sold as lamb. How they determined the rat meat is worth $1 million , I don't know.

Any one know the answer to my headline question?

Here is an interesting link to read....Web Link

Old news-

BTW A good amount of salmon is caught here/Canada, shipped to China for processing and then shipped back to USA. Check the package of salmon (if you buy the packaged style)

Also with chicken- supposedly no requirement to place country of processing on package.
