17-year-old seized in connection with string of Livermore fires

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Monday afternoon on suspicion of starting a string of recent fires in Livermore, police said.

I don't quite understand the last comment in this article.

"Anyone with information about the arson acts is asked to call the LPD".

How much more information does the LPD need. They have the much more information is needed. Oh, maybe they want to know WHY he did it...maybe he was mad at his patents or his girl friend or maybe he was having a bad day...

Who really care's WHY he did it. Lock him up for 6 months and charge his parents the bill for their sons closed..

You can never have too much evidence. Plus it could lead to other crimes being uncovered.

I'm being serious. Any applicable information for investigators is important. You must not be too familiar with the criminal justice system. You don't just stop investigating because someone admits to a crime.
