Unions contribute over $1.5 Million to Tim Sbranti's Campaign

Original post made by Registered Joe on May 31, 2014

Check it out on the CA Secretary of State website:

Web Link

These union contributions, by themselves, total more than double Steve Glazer's total. Tim Sbranti has another $435,000 from individuals and companies.

Who's paying whom for what here?

You'd have a bit more credibility, Joe, if you posted the contribution amounts to Republican candidates all over the country.

If you mean to suggest with Sbranti's contributions are any worse than most Republicans, then you are being deceptive. In other words, you're lying.

Were you to post the ungodly amounts that are directed toward candidates of both parties, then we might have a discussion about campaign finance reform. But as your deceptive post indicates, you're not at all troubled by all the money going to Republican candidates. This makes you something of a partisan hack, of course; but more importantly, you are a fool.

Kenny (from South Park?), your typical union apologist rant would make a little bit of sense had the subject of the post been Republican campaign contributions, but it's obvious to even the biggest fool that it is not.
Reg. Joe compared the contribution total to Steve Glazer, who, as you well know, is a rare breed: A Democrat who doesn't suck up to the union teat.
But then, that's why you are deflecting, isn't it? That makes you sound like a bad union hack. If you were a good hack, you wouldn't make it so obvious that you can't make move without your thug bosses' permission.
"But as your deceptive post indicates, you're not at all troubled by all the money going to competing democrat. This makes you something of a partisan hack, of course; but more importantly, you are a fool.

Actually, it is not in fact possible to evaluate what contributions mean without seeing everybody's contributions, which is a problem with the direction our system is going. If Sbranti has union contributions and you want to make a claim about that, you still need to look at where the other guy's money comes from. If strings are attached to money, as the post seems to claim, then strings are attached to money from everybody.

The largest contribution to Glazer's campaign was $7,200 from an individual.

The largest contribution to Sbranti's was $300,000 from the teachers' union. In fact, Sbranti has six contributions totaling $900,000, all from teacher and state employee unions.

So I ask again, who's paying whom for what?

Tim Sbranti is a very likeable guy but the Dublin Mayor hasn't done anything to control growth in his own backyard. He talks big about the need for transpotation infrastructure in the Tri-Valley while at the same time promoting high-density housing which is clogging Dublin Roads and also adding to freeway congestion. If any of you have driven in East Dublin you know exactly what I mean. His ties to the unions and the funding they provide, as well as his own union activism, are beyond troublesome. His position on Bart Strikes leaves me scratching my head.

Your link provides no evidence of the $1.5 from union sources.

Click on the link, enter "sbranti" in the search box, the very first contributing entity that comes up, called "SBRANTI FOR ASSEMBLY 2014, SPONSORED BY THE CALIFORNIA TEACHERS ASSOCIATION AND CALIFORNIA STATE COUNCIL OF SERVICE EMPLOYEES; CALIFORNIANS FOR ECONOMIC PROSPERITY TO SUPPORT TIM" shows a contribution amount of $1,558,960.26.

liberalism is a disease is a registered user.

Funny that one of those teachers couldn't figure out that most simple of tasks. Maybe those explicit instructions were not in the union handbook.
