PUSD Has Deleted Public Records Act web page and JV investigation report

Original post made by Now you see it, now you don\'t, Walnut Grove Elementary School, on Mar 23, 2014

Apparently in the interest of 'transparency,' after the story from the Pleasanton Weekly about two district employees refuting the details of the investigation, PUSD has completely deleted their Public Records Request web page, including all the documents concerning the so-called Jon Vranesh 'investigation' (if you can call it an investigation).

The old page was pleasantonusd.net/about-our-district/public-records-requests/ .

Now if you click on Web Link , the message "The webpage cannot be found" comes up or "No Results Found" comes up, depending upon what browser is used.

How's that for transparency? Their investigation report is questioned, so they delete it.

If the PUSD has harassed employees (such as hypothetically site principals and vice principals who know of things like 'accreditation') who were hypothetically informants to the Feds that criminal activity was taking place at the District Office with the Tri-Valley University organization, they are in big trouble. No wonder they've taken the JV investigation documents off the web. Did you see how the investigator intimidated and harassed JV with his questions, not even allowing him to finish answering each question?

18 U.S. Code § 1512-Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant Web Link provides penalties for some offenses to be a 20 year prison sentence, some a 3 year prison sentence for harassing anyone who is an informant that a Federal offense is taking place.

The 20 page Federal notice of withdrawal of Tri-Valley University Web Link for the ability to issue F-1 student visas notes that the investigation started September 30, 2009 exactly 22 days after the Luz Cazares staff report with the Tri-Valley University lease.

This timeline would tend to support the hypthesis that site principals and vice principals or other District employees blew the PUSD into the Feds shortly after the September 8, 2009 board packet was published.

No wonder they've deleted these documents.

Along with doling out raises to administrators, on Tuesday, March 25 PUSD has yet another Closed Session agenda item on its agenda:

2.1 Personnel Actions (Government Code 54957) - Limited to consideration of the appointment, employment, evaluation of performance, discipline/release, or dismissal of a public employee or to hear "complaints or charges brought against such employee by another person or employee unless the employee requests a public session." (D)(V)

Could this be a possible reinstatement of Jon Vranesh or complaints and discipline/release of the superintendent and her cabinet due to the apparently faulty, unsubstantiated, one-sided investigator report?

It could be anyone.

Also, from a March timing perspective, according to the Luz Cazares contract on the web (and I don't know why it is redacted. I wonder why?), as of March 1, 2014, the Superintendent was required to provide Cazares a performance evaluation (March 1, 2013 and every year thereafter is what it says-see section 8.2). Here is the contract Web Link

For termination with cause, this includes: 1) unprofessional conduct 2) incompetency 3) neglect of duty or 4) breach of contract. This is found in section 10.1.4.

It would appear that the PUSD thinks they can make up the rules as they go along. First they release poorly redacted reports and statements, then take it all away without word. As for being able to request a public meeting, JV requested that and they ignored him and met behind the curtain.

I all would be laughable if people's lives and the education of children weren't involved.

Thank you so much. Here is document28.pdf Web Link - so glad that is one that is still out there . That is the one with the mob boss-like threats about retaliation and the angry profanity-laced outburst of the Superintendent's cabinet member whose name ends with 's'.

Look very carefully. See page 2, line item 8, third line where they did not draw a black rectangle all the way over the name, exposing the last letter being 's.'

All these comments are very trenchant. I'm certain JV's lawyers will make liberal use of them, their accuracy, their objectivity. Wait! I've got an idea! Let's not wait for the legal process to unfold. Let's just demand that everyone be fired. And I mean everyone! Because once unions infect a school system, only a total eradication of all union-contaminated personnel is acceptable. Because it's for the children. Honest! It is!

In the past, the measure of ones success was based on decency, honesty, integrity and hard work. The school district management and the city leadership should not be lying to its boards and city council bodies, the elected officials who are supposedly in charge of this city.

It appears that both have made bad hires. I do not want the staff of the PUSD and City of Pleasanton to be a bunch of people acting like they are
mob bosses from the "Godfather" movie, ranting and raving like lunatics, and purposely deceiving these elected officials.

They need to be fired. It is time to get the backbone to fire them. The Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, City Manager, and Community Development Director must go. They have done much damage to the city, and we'll all be a lot better off without them. It is not a game to get 5-0 votes by lies, intimidation, and delusions. They need to go.
