William Hogarty case update

Original post made by Monica G, another community, on Feb 24, 2014

I know this news outlet has been following this case and wanted to see if there is any updated news. There is a rumor floating around that he is only getting six months in jail which would be a travesty. If anyone knows the latest I would appreciate it if you could share. Thank you.

Mr. Hogarty and the others are due back in court on May 14 for further pretrial. No decision has been made in the case, and he remains free on $250,000 bail.

This is William Hogarty

All charges were dropped, as they were in valid in the first place. Rumors and internet are dangerous with ignorance.

If that's really a post by William Hogarty, and I can't imagine it's not, he's the same liar he has always been. I don't know why he would want to revisit the case against him when he was forced to plead guilty because that's exactly what he is, GUILTY.

ALL of the charges against him were NOT dropped. In fact, I saw this SOB/criminal plead guilty to one of the charges as part of a plea deal. He was supposed to be sentenced in November, but part of the plea agreement required he pay restitution, including by paying $10K towards the total amount before the sentencing hearing in November. And of course he didn't pay the $10K restitution as he was supposed to so there's a new court date in January for sentencing. Why would he be paying restitution if all charges were dropped? LOL. His plea deal required he plead guilty WHICH HE DID, pay restitution and probation and he's already failed on part of the plea deal. I only wish the judge would throw the book at him.

I don't know why he would dig up an old thread just to post a lie so he could be exposed yet again, but that's what he did. He should have left it alone, but he's so delusional that he thinks people will believe him and care. I wonder what part of "all charges were dropped" speak to his guilty plea on the same case.

Seriously Bill, get a life. Quietly be the used car salesman and criminal that you are living in your wife's house and letting her support you. You're a washed up has-been and a crook that no one wants to hear from. There's a boulder out there with your name on it that you should crawl back under.

TO WHO:

It would appear that the post was by William Hogarty as what motive would anyone but him have for posting a lie about charges being dropped when he in fact pled guilty and is being forced to pay restitution in addition to a sentence of probation. He got off very light, but not without pleading guilty and agreeing to the terms of the sentence he's to receive and with the help of one of the highest profile attorney's in the area.

You may not care about who he is, believe me, most people don't. But if you were one of the hundreds of people that he scammed out of millions of dollars, you'd probably be a little irritated by him lying about the DA dismissing all charges because they were "invalid" when instead he actually pled guilty with a restitution and probation sentence that couldn't be finalized because he didn't have the restitution funds properly paid by the original sentencing date.
