Wonderful job, Foothill students! I'm glad you are paying attention to civil rights violations in the world.
FAIR IS FAIR! VIVA STUDENTS! VIVA!
Teaching them to be very self righteous and politically correct at a young, impressionable age. Good to get that propaganda going early, before the kids develop a sense of morality. The good news is it was at lunch and they were silent.
Our society does not make a mistake when children are involved politically.
"Self righteous and politically correct..." NOT.
Young folks have a strong sense of what is Right and Wrong.
Young folks deserve credit for understanding that harming others is not cool!
VIVA STUDENTS! VIVA! VIVA THEIR PARENTS! GORA!
DOWN WITH OPPRESSION OF FELLOW AMERICAN CITIZENS!
I wonder if the school taught them to do some research and read the law before protesting or if they just went along with the mass sentiment. In an investigative report that I read by a pro gay activist group in the USA they said that the anti Russian sentiment comes from a magazine article written by someone who didn't read the law. Their lawyer read it and they reported that it does not mention gays and it does not mention adults. It is a law to protect children from sexual predators what ever their type, but hey, lets not let the facts stand in the way of a popular protest theme.
Cholo proclaims, 'Young folks deserve credit for understanding that harming others is not cool!'
That would be true were it not for the scourge of AIDS spread by the very people they claim to stand with. It was bad enough with monkeys carrying the disease, but for the last few decades the lower rung of the evolutionary ladder has been infecting their own and some innocent others. No harm? Hardly, amigo. I'm Right.
The irrational fear, the self-loathing, the refusal to learn from others. I have so much disgust for this poor hate-filled fellow that I can barely feel any sympathy for him, though sympathy is what he sorely needs. All the poor fool can do is clamor at the empty heavens about perversions, scourges, and monkeys. He lives in a very lonely world. It must be very frightening for him. I would surmise the only conversations he has with anyone in his very lonely world is when he changes his name on various threads in order to give himself credit for posting his stomach-turning rants.
Good luck with your treatment, 'hans'. Your dillusion includes the errant belief that only your view of what we must tolerate is correct.
There was no hate in my post, only the reality that if you avoid carriers that participate in dangerous and deviant behavior, you might have a chance of living beyond your naive high school years.
No name changing here----I'm still Right.

Now that is a great use of time! How about spending a little time on the books at lunch or maybe developing social skills other than spending time on something you cannot impact and is a little on the perverted side.
On your "reasoning," along with Russia's and your own discrimination against gays -- just males, or females, too, you don't say -- we should also discriminate against heterosexual women and men because, after all, through heterosexual relations women may pick up the HPV virus from heterosexual males that can cause cervical cancer and sometimes death.
But that's ridiculous, isn't it. Because, like yourself and other confused sickies (see, "huh" above), you don't care about gays succumbing to AIDS or any other virus. You only want to assure people, and yourselves, that by showing disdain for gays you are putting on a convincing show that you yourselves are not gay. We are not convinced. Instead of allowing hatred to overcome you, you might try a bit of honesty. There's no shame in it, Right/huh. Honesty about yourselves and your own (dysfunctionally repressed) homosexuality might likely put you on the road toward a long-awaited journey towards mental health.
The world is rapidly changing and it's become increasingly painful for some Americans to understand and embrace change.
Hate mongers have always existed. Americans are born everyday and eventually America will be more capable of accepting what is perceived today as undesirably different.
There's an argument for pointing out internalized homophobia. That doesn't concern me too much. It must be internally painful for somebody to be raised to embrace hate and to loathe others they perceive as bad. I believe that folks that are homophobic have multiple opportunities to learn and grow. I wouldn't toss in the hat and view them as forever losers or lost souls.
Americans can't live in this country and not be faced with multiple choices. Sometimes folks do change for the better. It's important to remain hopeful and patient.
Most of the comments on this blog I find interesting and somewhat amusing!

"Right's" phobia reveals an astonishing ignorance (as well as an inability to read/comprehend, which we have known about now for some time). What "Right" fails to acknowledge is that HPV is predominantly an STD transmitted by heterosexuals. But he shows obliviousness to this, obsessively infatuated with gayness as he is.
Mention of his wife convinces none of us regarding your proclivities, explicit or repressed/closeted. But he apparently doesn't realize that an overwhelming majority of heteros do virtually everything gays do in the bedroom. This no doubt makes his wife sadly as sex-deprived as he must be.
Kudos to the young people who took the time to make a public statement. As the vestiges of homophobia remain with us (see "Right" and "huh"), so it is important for the public to be reminded of how homophobia and its accompanying discriminatory practices amounts to human violence against other human beings.
This protest was not only about Russia- though, it was the main theme, due to what was going on at the moment.
Russia has a group of people posting videos of them severely beating up gay people and humiliating them for all to see.
So, it is something serious going on. It was merely an act of awareness, supporting all people's rights to be safe- not just Russia.
Don't miss out on the discussion!
