Would like to see a dog park somewhere on the Bernal property. Hope my fellow dog owners agree!

What for, so the inconsiderate dog owners of this town can let their animals relieve themselves and leave their droppings. It is sad that people allow their animals to disrespect others property. I wonder how these inconsiderate owners would like people defecating on their property and leaving it for them to clean up. There should be a law that can be enforced where these animal owners are ticketed and fined for their lack of consideration. I can not imagine placing a dog park next to where our children play so they may be subjected to more germs and possible injury from unleashed animals.

Exactly! We need a dog park so the dogs can run around in a separate and fenced area, and NOT get on people's personal property, front yards, poop on community land or run off-leash (which is not allowed but people do it anyway)chasing people away.

We are WAY over due for a Dog Park in Pleasanton! Joe - I completely agree.

You're right Joe. The dog exercise area in Muirwood Park gets a lot of use, and we've been promised other locations in Pleasanton for years and years. Specifically, we were promised a dogpark on the Bernal Property. Let's get it done!

As a long-time advocate for responsible dog ownership, I do, and encourage others to, clean up after those less responsible dog owners. Been doing it under Green a Dog Rangers and at Friday Concerts up until 2-3years ago, and now, among our Saturday walkers, as Green Walkers, Leaving our Surroundings Cleaner than we found them. But, my main point is about the number of owners who let their dogs off-leash, despite ordinances against it! I would hope that more, scattered dog parks would give those owners an alternative that would find them following the leash laws outside those dog parks.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE include a dog park! A BIG one! Look at Ashley Memorial Dog Park in Auburn, CA for some GREAT ideas!! Livermore has 5 dog parks! Let's get the community together and get something great going. Our dogs and town need it!

Don't miss out on the discussion!
